Hello everyone,

As you might have seen from our in-game update, the FireBrand Team has made the sad decision to shut down support to the Ebonhawke Falcons. We are leaving the guild open in-game for the foreseeable future, but we will no longer be updating the website or be hosting our weekly events, or taking any new applications to join.

The Ebonhawke Falcons was first created in May 2012 in anticipation for the launch of Guild Wars 2. Led by Elaya and Mako (alongside Mercury and Hukka, in later months) it soon became one of the most notable guilds on the Piken Square server, with our name being recognised in both PvP and roleplay circles. Soon after the August game launch we began to host our weekly events, which were a huge success and continued to define what FireBrand Gaming aims for, both for our in-game members and our forum users. We hit incredible heights for general activity and event participation, and we have gained invaluable assets to FireBrand that we hope to game alongside for months and years to come.

If you have enjoyed your time with the Ebonhawke Falcons, do not fear - the community is simply moving on to other games. Although Guild Wars 2 is a great game in many ways, unfortunately we feel we have made the most of what the game has to offer to our community at this time. You are free to join us in the other games we are playing at this time - details available on the forum!

Good day, everyone!

I want to begin this news post to say that it's been over 8 months since the guild was created, and it's still going strong thanks to you all! Ever since we started out in Tyria, there have been a few roster changes among the guild and the leading team, the latest of which happened earlier this month with Mary Ann Cerina being promoted as guild leader, and Mako Fargrath and Mercury Nine being pushed up to the rank of Guild Founder.

On the subject of roster changes, you can also look forward to an old rank being put to better use shortly. The Guild Champion category will welcome a few of our most loyal members to help with the recruitment effort in-game, so as to keep the Ebonhawke Falcons full of life and activities for everybody to enjoy!

Roleplay within the guild will also be subject to change in the coming weeks, with the focus being shifted from a military regiment to more of a "special operations team". This will allow for more travelling and less rigid, more interesting storylines.

Our weekly events are still up and running and we're currently doing yet another run of all the story mode dungeons in the game to help our newer recruits experience the game. We've unlocked the Guild Rushes not too long ago, and are well on our way to getting a hold of the Guild Challenges, when it comes to guild missions! PvP is also very lively with WvW and sPvP being alternated every week, where the falcons keep proving themselves times and times again. Feel free to hop in whenever these events happen no matter your skill level, as our main goal in these events is to have fun and introduce otherwise PvE players to the goodness that is PvP.

And to close this post, welcome to all of our newer recruits, and a big thank you to everyone for keeping the game interesting and the guild alive!

Our recruitment status is open. Feel free to take a look at more information about us here.

Greetings!

Here's a little update on how the community and the game are doing, as well as what our members can look forward to in the near future.

First off, the Falcons have gloriously returned to the battlegrounds of World vs. World thanks to the numerous fixes provided by A-Net and the enthusiasm of our members for this side of the game. Just as well, our sPvP events have garnered quite a few followers and we now alternate between the two game modes every Tuesday night at 7pm GMT. To those who have yet to try it out; don't be shy! These events take place with guildies, for the guildies, all that in a friendly and hilarious atmosphere.

Speaking of events, our regular weekly gatherings have been doing well, all thanks to you guys. We have closed off the Brisban Wildlands story arc in our roleplay events, and are starting a new one this sunday!
We ask that you keep it up and check the event sections and the forums frequently, as there is always something going on, and we need your help to make sure the Ebonhawke Falcons stay as great a community as we are. And if you think you have ideas about what kind of events you'd like to see created, don't hesitate to share your suggestions on the forums; they can be as serious or outlandish as you like!

Secondly, our forums have been made richer in terms of information on the game thanks to Finna Fairchild, who spoiled us with a few well written guides on how to succeed financially and skillfully in the game. Get your reading glasses ready!

And to top it off on a more serious note, we will be changing our stance on guild representing in the future. Stay tuned for more information on that point.
Otherwise, yet another big thank you to our members for making this guild one of the best on Piken Square, and see you all in-game!

Our recruitment status is open. Feel free to take a look at more information about us here.

It's nearly April already! Time has flown since our last update; and it's time to refresh our homepage with the goings-on of the Ebonhawke Falcons.

With the WvW updates of the 26th of March patch, we're once again holding weekly WvW runs on Tuesdays after a brief spell of instead holding sPvP tournaments. We're looking forward to trying out the changes and once more making our mark on the battlegrounds. If you want to take part, remember to sign-up like with our other events!

Our story mode campaign held by Hukka and Thuusu was a great success, and as a guild we successfully completed every story mode dungeon available in-game. We have now returned to our usual weekly dungeon run, where members decide what explorables we complete. To aid organisation, we ask members to vote during the week if they have their heart set on one dungeon in particular.

As for our roleplay, many changes are forth-coming as we reach the end of the Brisban Wildlands story arc. We have reshuffled our roleplay team both out of character and in-character, so I urge you all to look forward to how roleplay will develop and evolve due to this - it's certainly an exciting time for even the most casual of our roleplay base.

As always, thank you to our members for making the Ebonhawke Falcons one of the most successful, active guilds of Piken Square; and a big welcome to all of our new recruits since our February update! It's a pleasure to continue being a part of our community.

Our recruitment status is open. Feel free to take a look at more information about us here.

Hello guys!

Another update as we're growing closer to the February patch date. The Ebonhawke Falcons are still going strong, and we're proud of our progress as a Guild since launch. A welcome to all of our new recruits since New Year, and also a thank you to all of our 'veterans' who have stuck with us since 2012. The support is much appreciated as we look forward to tackling the new Guild Content that Arena Net has planned for us!

Our roleplay is coming along nicely as we move forward from our second story arc and from the Shiverpeaks to travel across Tyria once more. If any of our roleplayers have ideas they want included in the next story arc, now is the time to approach an officer or write on the forums about it.

See you in-game!

It's nearly the new year, and so the officer team wishes everyone in Firebrand a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year! Hope you all enjoy the festivities, no matter where you are.

On another note, we have a lot of exciting things planned for the Ebonhawke Falcons come 2013, so be excited! It marks the start of our new roleplay story arc, as well as preparing for the new content updates for PvE and PvP. We urge people to finish their story quests (including Arah) in the next few weeks.

See you all in-game!

This week, the Falcons have done the three month shuffle and the results are definitely worth a mention! I think everyone in-game knows who are Officers are and the different roles we have, but this week we promoted a few people to a higher rank as to help us moderate during the full day! We have also, sadly, had to see some of our Officers step down who have decided to take a break from the game for now. We wish them the very best in their gaming adventures and hope to see them return at a later date.

Our new assets to the Officer team will be names that everyone will recognise, and I hope everyone will give them a huge welcome to their new positions and offers them a congratulations in-game to make them feel all special! So here is our full ranking system for our Officer team:

Commanders: Mako Fargrath, Mercury Nine
Field Marshals: Thuusu
Marshals: Hukka Cerina, Elliah Node, Firo Jadelon

Hi guys!

It's been an exciting few weeks, particularly this last week with the official launch of our main community website, FireBrand Gaming. As most of you know, the Ebonhawke Falcons are part of this larger gaming community. This has been set up to be a hub for gamers to get together and play different games, as well as being a source for gaming news and information. This is an exciting time as this vision has now become a reality. More details can be found on the main website.

In terms of guild news;
- Roleplay has been progressing steadily. We now have a story arc in place and the weekly events see the progression of this story. I think some interesting developments lie on the road ahead!
- WvW PvP is going well. With yesterday's new matchup, we've already established a clear lead on our opponents of Drakkar Lake and Ring of Fire, opponents who have previously bested us.
- "CoF! CoF!" are the cries from our forum for dungeon runs, which are seeing regular activity. Our dungeon events are based on our members' call for which dungeons they want to run, and CoF seems to be a favourite which sees a lot of attention.

In short, everything is going swimmingly, as they say. Thanks to everyone for signing up and participating in our weekly events, it's because of you guys that we're such a strong, successful guild!

Also, a huge welcome to our new recruits; and a congratulations to all our promotions in the last few Sundays. Looking forward to seeing you all in-game.

Hello everyone!

We've earlier stated that now the first month is complete, we are releasing our front page news updates as and when we need them, feeling now we are at a stage where weekly updates are not needed. However, we'll still keep our Member forums active daily, so remember to check them out!

This update is to partly announce the next stage for our Guild roleplayers in our current Guild storyline. I hope you all enjoy what is planned for the next few weeks, and jump in and get involved with your characters. I'm really looking forward to how it progresses and how the ideas develop through member input, both IC and OOC. Feedback and ideas of all kinds are welcome on our Roleplay part of the forums, as always.

In other news, our sPvP tournament team has been decided and practice has at this time been allocated to every Wednesday and Saturday. Good luck to Team One in their efforts to make the Falcons name proud within the arenas! A mention to our dedicated WvW teams too, busy surviving against the odds in this weeks server match-ups; and our PvE fans, destroying dungeon content every day. I love you guys <3

To round this off, a huge welcome to new members within the space of the last update and this one. We hope you enjoy your time with us and feel a part of the family within the world of Tyria.

Hi guys!

It's been another busy week for the Falcons in the world of Tyria. We've now pretty much chosen our days of the week to continue our events on for PvP, PvE and RP - although extra events will pop up inbetween, so remember to check the website for any updates!

The Falcons also extend a big welcome to our new recruits this week! We hope you're enjoying the experience so far, and we welcome feedback either in-game or on the forums. Congratulations also to our promotions: Brude, Lan Dragoran, Scott Jennings, Enaire, Hygbeorn Warheart, Bliane Von Angela, Corvus Bane, Valrux and Firo Jadelon. You've all been a great asset to the Guild and we're looking forward to many more weeks of gaming with you.

Thank you also, to everyone who has taken part in Guild events this week. The turnouts have been fantastic and we've had so much fun in every aspect of the game. I'm really proud of the progress we've made so far.

Love you all!

Just writing this after wrapping up an awesome roleplay event this evening.

We had an impressive turnout, managed to effectively split the team into three groups based on class skills and conducted a fantastic manner. It wasn't long after the actual training began that we started to draw the crowds.

Some were so impressed by our conduct that they stopped to speak to me after the event. I am immensely proud of both the turnout and the conduct in which the Falcons displayed and portrayed themselves. This was the second major roleplay event we've conducted, and more will come very soon, including actual action!

So far, activity in every field (PvE, PvP and RP) has been impressive. I'm very proud to be leading this guild and looking back on the progress we've made since launch, including a whole switch of server, I can safely say we're one of the best guilds on Piken Square.

It's about quality, not quantity, and I think we have quality in abundance.

Looking forward to more exceptional events in the very, very near future!

Hi guys!

Just an announcement to thank everyone for their participation and enthusiasm in all our recent Guild events. With Dungeon runs, RP Guild Events and WvW Guild runs being set up daily, it's great to see members being active and taking initiative to play together as The Ebonhawke Falcons. It's also much appreciated that our members are taking the time to be a part of the Guild when offline too; with our website functions being used and the forums busy with conversation and discussion.

With recent promotions and many welcomes to our new recruits; I hope we continue to have as much fun in the upcoming months.

Hello guild! (and visitors!)

We have officially moved to Piken Square. We've had no negative feedback from any of our members who have moved here. I've only heard positive things from everyone in Mumble and guild chat.

As of now, our home server is Piken Square.

Thank you to everyone in Ebonhawke Falcons who have supported us with the move. I hope that we can continue to give you the best gaming experience possible!

Hello there fellow Tyrians!

The launch of Guild Wars 2 is just around the corner, 1 day and 15 hours remaining on time of posting. This mean that we can finally start our adventures and eventually save Tyria from the Elder Dragons.

First of all a quick reminder to everyone to patch your clients on time, to get it ready for launch! There have been many patches lately, and even this week, so make sure you are ready to go! Regarding this, a quick thanks to our helpful member Gernisavien for keeping us posted on the latest patches.

Second, we have decided on the Homeworld for our guild. On launch, Ebonhawke Falcons will be entering the grounds of Gunnar's Hold.

Last, I would like to remind you all that the launch will take place on Saturday August 25th on midnight. For European players this will be Saturday at 8AM (UTC+1) or 9AM (UTC+2), depending on your timezone. Also, ArenaNet has noted that the servers might come online up to 3 hours early, for stability reasons.

The wait is almost over, so get your supplies, and I hope to see you all in the worlds of Kryta and beyond!

This is a quick message to all members who will be joining us for the beta. The new Guild Wars 2 server list has been published and our previously selected server is changed to a French-based server, so we will transfer to an English-based one.

So for this weekend, and hopefully all the weekends remaining, please join us on the Longeye's Ledge server.

See you there!

Finally! The date for the next beta event is set.

The upcoming beta will start Friday the 8th of June and last through the weekend. All your characters and progress from the previous Beta Weekend and the stress test were kept on the server, so you can just pick up where you left off!

Guild Wars 2 BWE2:

Start: Friday June 8th - 12 AM PDT (Friday 7PM GMT)
End: Sunday June 10th - 12 PM PDT (Monday 7AM GMT)

So once again, get the weekend off, and get ready to explore the lands of Tyria!

With the first public beta already 2 weeks behind us, the majority of the players are wondering when the next beta weekend will be scheduled. Well, they are in luck, sort of!

Because the enormous flood of people in the first public beta (which far exceeded their expected number of players) the first event coped with tremendous lag and server issues. Now that they have gathered some data, and applied some fixes and patches, they want to give the new version a test run with as many people online as possible.

So on Monday, the server will open up for 7 hours to everyone that has pre-ordered and registered, with the same database from the first beta, so all your characters still exist.

Guild Wars 2 Stress Test:

Start: Monday 11 AM PDT (Monday 6PM GMT)
End: Monday 6 PM PDT (Tuesday 1AM GMT)

So get your food, drinks and schedule ready, for a seven hour stress test!

Dear all,

Less than 12 hours to go before the beta begins.

We will be playing upon the FORT RANIK server (providing it's available).

We are looking towards playing upon Blacktide during release, but more details about that closer to the time.

See you all very, very soon!

With the beta for Guild Wars 2 just around the corner, we are proud to announce that Firebrand Gaming now has its own division for the upcoming game!

And with a guild, there is a website, the one you are on now, to be precise. Just like the game itself, the website is still in beta, so you may encounter some small errors here and there and please report these if you do. You can, however, already create your character placeholders on the website, so we can start filling the roster.

We hope you enjoy the beta of Guild Wars 2 and that you will join us testing it!

If you have any questions, suggestions or any other remarks, please let us know!
